Oh, how the days go by. Really, was it the beginning of MAY when I last wrote?! Ugh! Let’s do a quick catch-up post, shall we?
May saw the adoption of this sweet girl:
Meet Chloe, our new pup. She’s a 5 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel/Cocker Spaniel Mix – which has the unfortunate breed name of “Cockalier”. However, Super Dad is right when he says that it could be worse and they could have called them “King Cocks”. And that is why he isn’t allowed to name dog breeds.
Of course, I have no pictures of the service, but I do have one of us at dinner at Maggiano’s. Figures. (By the way, Maggiano’s rocks. Love that place.) I wish them much happiness and love always!
Then we had our week-long family vacation in Ocean City, NJ.
You didn’t think I was going to show me in a bathing suit, did you?! C-razy! And yes, we brought Chloe with us.
Then I spent a few days up in CT for the Most-Wonderful-Job-Ever.
And then finally, today, we had the Painter-For-a-Day from Nolan Painting that I won at the end of April (gasp!) come and paint our upstairs hallway, stairway, AND dining room. I have no pictures of it, but trust me when I say it’s gorgeous. The best part? (And here’s an indication of my life…) He painted the ceilings and fixed a patch, so now my ceilings are bright white (no chocolate milk stains – don’t ask!) and they don’t have stray pieces falling down (it wasn’t like it was actually going to fall – it just looked like it). It’s wonderful. It’s beautiful. And now I want to replace the nasty carpet and outdated light fixtures. BUT, if you’re in the need of painting and live in the Philly area, I highly recommend Nolan Painting and can’t thank them enough for their generous prize and the wonderful job that Juan did today. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
And there you have it. A quick update – with pictures even! My mom will be so proud.
